Bocce

Bocce is a great game that gathers friends and family around a simple yet surprisingly fun and competitive sport.  I currently co-host an annual bocce tournament that last most of the summer here in San Francisco.

Star Wars - Greatest Movie / Series Ever?

I still to this day remember the time wen I saw Star Wars "A New Hope" in the theatre with my dad back in 1977.  I was in awe and shock.  This movie has changed my life.  I still to this day watch a Star Wars episode almost every month.  To this day, the special effects and story line is top notch.
It is as an amazing story as it is entertaining.  The political and cultural undertones in this move is staggering.   The Empire possibly resembling the Nazi movement?  The connection with humans and our surroundings (The Force) being one.  Seeing the good in everyone.

Steaming

I have been a long time fan of the steam room.  I used it in college all the time to treat the effects of a hang over (and still do it this day for body detox).  I don't know what it is, but after every time I steam, I feel awesome.

I still to this day steam almost everyday.  I also love the benefits of steaming before I shave.  I think it opens up the pores and allows the hair follicles to come out and the razor then can get a cleaner shave.

My skin feels and looks great after a steam as well.  It eliminates black heads and skin feels refreshed and clean.  I also think the sweating associated with a steam is great for the body.  Sweat out the bad and replenish the body with plenty of water, vitamins and minerals - this is also a good time to drink wheat grass - while in or right after a steam.

Wheatgrass

I recently bought a canister of powder wheat grass and I swear it did a couple things for me: made me poop instantly and also made me feel great. I'm not sure about the health benefits of wheat grass, but I can tell you that it made me feel great.

Getting Creative

I've found that on nights when I have a couple pain killers (Vic's, Perk's, etc.) and drinking I'm most creative. When I say creative I mean in the sense that I tend to want to read more, research info on the web, write a blog, review stuff, etc. Instead of just sitting around and staring at the TV. Why is this? Is the brain extremely stimulated and needs to be busy with something? Does the combo stir up thought? If so, might be a good study to find out how it affects your thought process.

2 Buck Mutha Fuckin Chuck!

What can I say?  I'm not a wino or an aficionado, but I think that Charles Shaw wine is the best bang for your buck.  Yea, yea, it's only 2 dollars a bottle, so it must suck.  It doesn't though.  It has an unyielding taste that hits you.  Yes, it's extremely inconsistent, but when you find the right bottle = it's heaven.

Spinach - Super Human Food

Spinach

Known as a "super food," spinach is nutrient-rich.  It has folate, which helps your body produce new cells and repair DNA. And it boasts fiber, antioxidants, such as vitamin C, and more. Eat spinach raw or lightly cooked to get the most benefit.

Garlic

Garlic

Garlic offers several antioxidants that battle immune system invaders. Among garlic's targets are H. pylori, the bacteria associated with some ulcers and stomach cancer. Cooking tip: Peel, chop and let sit 15 to 20 minutes before cooking to activate immune-boosting enzymes.
